    check that post from above, I might mount mine in the bumper, seems easy ... or quit hitting rocks..

    looking at purchasing a replacement from another tacoma owner that has apparently taken it off his own truck, how hard is it to install the new plugs? I'm looking at mine now and there is no way to get the plastic elbow off to attatch the wires to a new one. If anyone has pix please post away

    I got the idea from someone on here a while ago. Requires a drill with a hole-saw. about 40min from start to finish.

    I did end up replacing the 7 pin connecter
    -I bought the wire harness and it replaces the plastic elbow completely, if you're talking about what I think you are
    -it only took me about 15 minutes to replace everything
    -all the connectors will be basically on the inside of your bumper, main, and 1 for each licences plate light
    -it is super easy if you remove your spare tire first to give easy access to everything you'll need.
