I have an 2008 V6 4WD and a few weeks ago my buddy forgot to put the pin in that makes sure the trailer doesn't come off the ball. Needless to say it did. Thank god nothing bad happened other than the trailer shooting under the truck and braking trailer plug housing. We both have been searching for a part number or a replacement part for it and can't find it anywhere. If anyone knows somewhere I can find it or just a part number, that would be awesome.

This part is what I'm looking for. I'll get better pictures tomorrow.

If it's like my 14 it's part of the rear taillight harness and not a cheap part (~$200 if I remember correctly), your best bet is to get an aftermarket 7 way plug and wire it in.

I only need to plastic cover thing, so it shouldn't be that much. Right? Once I get more pictures it should make more sense.
