We just bought a 2023 TRD 4x4 Taco. I am reading the owners manual to familiarize myself with the vehicle. The manual mentions the Trailer Sway Control but gives no specifics on it. I am very familiar with towing as I currently have a 2019 4Runner SR5P and use an Anderson Weight Distribution hitch on it to tow our Casita. (I have towed small trailers for 30 years). I have looked through this forum and the owners manual but cannot find any specifics about the TSC. Would you please direct me to some details about the TSC and all of what I need to know? The dealer is installing a brake controller next week, which I know I need. Thank you for the information.,

TSC was introduced on Tacomas in 2012, the attached file is from the 2012 new features so I'm sure changes and improvements have been made but it gives a good idea how TSC works.

Do all 2012-and-later Tacomas have TSC included, or only Tacos with the general Towing package (oil cooler/trans cooler, hitch) installed?

It's unclear but according to the brochures it's part of the trailer tow package which looks to be standard equipment on 3rd gen V6 trucks but is optional on 2nd gens.

Thank you. That was helpful in steering me to the section of the manual that helps explain TSC. Much appreciated.
