    Digging deeper, you are correct...
I confused the 2, its the Pro series rock rails that are mounted to the body, just behind the pinch seam that are pretty much worthless & non protective at all....
That being said, the factory TH isnt that much better, VERY low profile compared to the more robust / stout aftermarket options available....

Looking at the pics of your "rock sliders"
    no kick out
the brackets between the 2 rails are chinsy at best, the center holes aren't helping...
all the aftermarket brands are using tubular construction there, way more robust & durable...
Also the mounting points are nothing special compared to other options..
Not a fan of the low profile design, tucked tight to the body, doesnt give much side panel protection...

I personally wouldnt pay the money for either TH or Pro rock rails, but thats me...

I can't decide what's right for you but there are tools out there to spot incoming vehicles available, and I'm happy I delayed gratification and got exactly what I wanted. That time allowed more test rides and thoughts on what to get.

For what I valued and know plus confirmed with testing, the halo models are less ideal for street and road use, and even as someone off road a lot, TRD OR is plenty fine. Payload capacity and weight were in consideration here. It's all good so figure out what is best for you.

Scrubbed some tires, and knocked a dent out.
Glad you did. Now I don't have to ask!

So you don’t own a Trailhunter and hadn’t even seen what you’re opining about. Got it.

Ive seen plenty along with Pros also...
Crawled all through them, under them, etc...
Even took pics of underside of one & posted on here cuz a member didnt know how to take his off & was too lazy to crawl under his own truck & take a look, use his brain...
Just slept since then & brain farted over the lame sliders on the TH vs the lame rock rails on the Pro....

Not judging, you want a factory one stock truck, so be it....
Ide rather spend my money elsewhere, the OP is asking for our opinions...

My opinion is the same regardless of the model or the type of protection...
End of the day, its what youre getting for the COST....

To each their own, this platform only out about a year and this TH with bolt of frame rock sliders straight from factory with warranty haven't fail anyone yet, or report of failure by anyone that i heard of, so anything else is just opinions. I'm sure your views is considered by the OP and helpful for this thread and others looking at after market upgrades.
