We met up and decided to do big Bear instead. @odinsbro15 did it all with his 2 wheel drive OR, even grapevine Canyon

He did one of them before I could get my phone to video it... Had his down hill rear tire slide to within 6 inches of a huge hole that would have put him off the cliff

Can confirm whatever trail we ran yesterday in big bear is totally 2wd friendly. Trd sport so just the factory junkie lsd and I never had an issue, surprising actually considering some of the terrain I saw

@Thesandaddict can you find out what trails you did. Much appreciated

I've done 3n14 and 2n10 up in big bear but those are super easy

@Z50king Auto-lsd. @Nicklovin and @dtaco06 might be able to tell you the trail. It was my first time with the taco offroad and even up to big bear (despite living in so-Cal for 28years lol)

The braking lsd is nice because pure open diff is best on the streets. If you have a Sport or SR5 the braking action will help you achieve lsd but it won't cook your brakes like an OR will with its stronger brake pump.

Do you know where cooks corner is?
You go there then down the road that T's off of Santiago canyon and follow that back a few miles.

Probably one of the easiest trails around, long as you dont go up Jeep Hill

I can make it up the first few turns up jeep hill with my DCLB, the second right handed switchback is what gets me.
I've been up to Joplin truck trail with my old 4wd 4Runner and on Moto though.

How long did it take for the trip up to the peak? Would be awesome to go up there and camp overnight and then continue on the next day with friends.

Edit: hold up I don't think camping there is legal is it? Shhhhh...

heading to do some camping near big bear friday at seven oaks. Gonna take middle control road and probably explore the 1N04 a bit. Have a neighbor who's been all over those trails with his prerunner leading the way
