went out to the trail by the winery in widewater today since my gf lives by the park back there lets just say im glad i have rear diff lock because it def saved my ass!! but other than almost getting stuck twice with stock suspension it was a blast, only explored one of the trails and rode it to the end then had to turn around because it became to narrow. didnt take many pictures of the trail but here are the pictures i did take

First rut that was surprisely very deep
    [IMG]

This mud puddle def was deeper than i expected, i guess next time ill check the depth of the mud and not just the water...

i honestly thought i was stuck until i locked the rear diff and got out
    [IMG]

after i got out of that one
    [IMG]

A couple random shots of my truck

    Enjoy

not sure if you hit the same trails we did, there a couple entrances over there and i don't know if they connect or not. looks like you had fun, a lot more dry than the week we went back there after all that rain. thanks for posting the pictures.

you'll have to come over to the other pipeline trails near colonial forge high school next time we go, still some more exploring to do back there.

i just looked at this picture again, jeesh. that could have been ugly without the locker, especially if you were by yourself with no cell phone signal out there. glad you got yourself out ok.

oh yeah i paniced for a second in that picture when i felt my momentum coming to a stop and the driver side sinking down. first thing i thought about was who i was going to call to come get me haha was getting nothing but spinning tires, tried 4Lo but got nowhere, locked the diff and it broke me loose. it was a blast though!

umm..the trail i went on was..if you turn right on the gravel road from the traintrack entrance, i think it was the 3rd trail on the right, it immediately took me up a hill and past ALOT of dumped trash, it branched off a couple times but i just stayed straight. definately let me know when you guys head out to any trails and hopefully i will be free

i used to take my rodeo back there every day after high school in 07, this is pretty funny seeing this becoming a legit trail now :) The school at the top of the trails is where i graduated.

sorry.....ill go again hahaha it was fun but it sucks cause we made a night run and i only got like one pic of the trail that is visible....i will go in during the day next time and take better pics. this picture is of the only mud we could find due to the huge drought we are having in virginia. the mud was a tad thicker than peanut butter and i was sunk good. but its nothing 4low and a locker wouldnt take care of!!!! this spot is usually about 2- 3 feet of water and about 50% of the trailes are muddy ruts...now its like driving on the beach and desert mountains

thats the same type of mud that got me hung up the first time except it was only on my driver side, but as you said yourself, nothing 4Lo and a locker cant handle!

on another note, has anyone noticed, seen or know where the trail goes thats on courthouse road like...on the other side of the road from mcdonalds next to the texaco station? i see it everyday while driving to get on 95 and always wonder where it leads

i keep telling myself to go explore that one, but they are actively doing construction and stuff back there so i'm always hesitant. plus i think its only a couple of acres so its probably not too much to drive. i'll check it out some day, maybe saturday when i get back in town.

sorry about all the picture links getting screwed up, i rearranged my photobucket albums and all the links are now dead. i'll get it fixed sometime soon.

anyone want to get together this weekend (friday-monday) and hit some trails? it should be pretty fun with all the rain we've been getting. let me know if theres any interest, i plan on going regardless but we might be able to get a bunch of locals out there and romp around for the day.
