alright, it seems like everyone is available on saturday. can we just plan to meet around noon on saturday at the commuter lot right off 95 at exit 140? we can all head over to the trails from there.

if that time doesn't work just let me know, im trying to just put something semi-concrete out there to gauge interest.

the ones off ramouth church road, with all the rain it would be nice to have someone else there in case i get swamped but i'll be going either way.

i'll be at the commuter lot at noon and stepping at 1215. if anyone is running late and needs me to wait longer call me 540-270-9328.

its been about a week without rain, i don't think it will be too bad. i think when its wet there's less chance of getting stuck in that quick sand type stuff you found out there.

no new pics, it was the same set of trails as all the pictures on the first page. i don't know where we missed a turn but there was a whole section we missed somehow. we explored a couple new areas but they didn't lead anywhere productive. i spotted a couple new off-shoots that i want to go back and explore at some point.

if you look at the first page there are some pics of me trying to get up a hill that is loose rock/gravel, superwhite10 made it up like a champ with his locker. i still couldn't make it up with only the lsd. all in all a pretty good time, no trail damage, neither of us got stuck, so no complaints. it wasn't as wet or muddy as i expected.

superwhite10, don't underestimate your truck just because it isn't lifted. you killed it today, although i still think you should have hit that really long mud hole towards the beginning of the trails :D

oh, and i went back on this trail today while i was waiting for you to meet up. it doesn't go anywhere, as soon as you get into the woods you can see some houses about 100 yards in front of you. it might have been a nice offroad trail back in the day but now it just leads right to the townhouses off red oak dr.

I had alot of fun as well, I was surprised at how easy the lockers got me up the hill. When I was coming back down that hill (J, you had turned around and headed back up the other trail) I hit somthing on my front passenger side, scuffed the bumper up pretty good. Im thinking it was either a stump or small tree but I dont remember seeing anything, but I hit whatever it was and it pushed me over the ledge before I was ready and nearly flopped me over, or at least thats how it felt haha I know the back right end came up and my front driver side was lower than the rest of the truck. But what would a trip be without a couple "oh shit" moments!

and maybe next time ill hit that big mud hole
