Looks like some good times for all.

Not to get too far off topic, do you guys think a stock height 2nd gen would make it up these trails? One of the reasons I wanted to get picked up for an assignment in Alaska was the wheeling/mountain biking.

Also, I'd be down for wheeling meets when I get up there. Well, maybe in the spring since I get there in January.

Good to know, thanks. I do eventually plan to lift and keep modding my truck but for now I'm at a good "pause" point haha.

Buffalo mine is off the Glenn highway it's easy to find the road is the same name and I believe there is a sign before the road. It is not a trail for a stock rig I would recommend 33 tires at least and a lift for some of the obstacles. I'm sure a stock rig could do it but it won't look pretty after

Yeah I found it okay, just didn't cross the river. It seemed pretty high and just the little ways I did go in the creek I was running into some good sized boulders under the water 1.5-2 foot in diameter. So we decided to just drive around on some other little muddy trails around there. Then we followed some power lines for a little while (and scared away some hunter's moose, sorry!) before we went over to Knik.

    :smack: Get back to NC!

Where does everyone go in the winter? Jim Creek once its frozen over, but anywhere else?

Earlier I met a guy with a Lexus on 35's with a 3" lift and a snorkel. They were going to try Jim Creek Saturday. I will be busy this Sat working on a hi lift mount, some errands, and a date I'm stoked about otherwise I would try and go myself.

Didn't catch his name lol. We met at Fastener's this morning. I want to say his rig was gray/silver.

EDIT he also said he checks the forums, but probably not this one

Hmm. I talk to a guy at work a lot that sounds like the same rig. If he was an older guy with a big nose I get it was him haha.

Most people don't do Jim creek in the warmer months because of the silt it's really rough on rigs as for right now I'm sure some of the trails out in kings river sutton area would be easy because the ground is frozen
