There have got to be 100 threads on here about low tranny fluid, but I'm just curious if anyone has seen on here or heard from dealers what vins or date of manufacture are affected? Have they even narrowed it down yet?

I tried to start a thread asking this same question, but as per normal, it derailed quickly.

Probably won't be able to check it as soon as you get home...unless you aren't driving your truck today. You will have to let it cool down for several hours, then you can follow the procedure that is outline in Gearcruncher's thread. There is no dipstick...it is a sealed system. So checking it is a bit more complicated.

I wasn't clear, I wont actually receive the truck until this weekend, but I am aware, I read the procedure, thanks though.

Several hours? Really? I have my appointment to get checked next Thursday. Was expecting to mope around the dealership for an hour or so and go for lunch. How long was it when you guys got checked? For tranny fluid, not some weird disease. Don't know why but I feel like that's where this going lol

It took 4 hours for it to get to the right temp for them to check it. I drove from my home about 8~9 miles straight to the dealership in the morning. I knew it would take a while, so I had a ride arranged. They had my truck for about 5 hours
