tranny making noise in drive while stopped

    99 2wd prerunner 3.4 making a noise similar to a bad PS pump while in drive only while stopped.in all other gears it sounds fine. I have also had a jumping to neautral under heavy throttle. Any help would be appreciated

    Was a PreRunner, now it isn't
    have you check the trans linkage? Perhaps it is a bit off and not fully engaging drive without engine load?????? If it jumps to N under hard accel then something is off.
