Lol i highly doubt the service manager told you he tried coming here or answers. They have shop manuals and troubleshooting steps right I front of them. If they follow those and everything checks out they call toyotas tech line. Toyota tells them the next steps they should take after they run them through a few tests. If still no luck usually they will send a district rep, tech or engineer out to further diagnose the issue. I'm calling bullshit on that statement.

U think they would lie to me? Yes I was born at night but not last night. I don't believe everything they say but I'm trying to include the conversations we're having. Hate to leave something important out. MaB flying someone in from the home country

Your biggest problem is the service manager's ego. He will replace every single part on the truck before he swaps out the CPS, because YOU told him that an internet Tacoma forum reported that to be the problem.

I got my Taco back a week ago. They said they had replaced both Cat converters as per Toyota factory reps instructions. Cruising down the interstate at 70 not over 15 miles from the dealership a couple days later and after 350 miles it quit again. They brought me a loaner and had towed back to their shop. They called yesterday saying Toyota factory was in charge of repairs and they're working on it. I told them I would be at the dealership Monday to speak to whoever is in charge about the Lemon Law in Oklahoma. It has now qualified since it has been in their shop 4 re for the same problem under warranty. We'll see. I did get the feeling of a better sense of urgency since they called me back immediately saying what they done to it since they've had it this time. Without going into details I caught them in a lie or a stupid decision. They said they had taken My CPS and put it in a new truck to see if it would fail. Why would you chance screwing up a new truck since whatever the problem is causEs failure of the cat converter. My my attitude now is if they can come up with a sensible sound fix I Really would like to keep my truck. Otherwise I'll make them give me a new truck!

You need to hire a lemon law attorney and stop talking to them about doing it. Just do it.

    What the phawk!

    Sorry had to

My feeling is it is the CPS sensor. I don't necessarily think that it's ruining the catalytic converter but fuel is definetly going through and not getting burned up. If they want to risk damaging another trucks cat, that's their problem. There was a thread here that showed the markings that were different between the old CPS sensors and the superseded part. I'm going to guess yours is one of the older styles that they are having troubles with
