    Involves a good bit of work, but sure. I've seen people swap. But like I said, it's a good bit of work. And sometimes things (specifically, interior pieces) don't wanna line up right upon re-install. I'm actually contemplating the same thing with a pair of 2nd gen 4runners I just bought.

    Wouldn't it be a better/easier option to swap the 5VE and the 5 speed into the new truck?

    would need new ECU and harnesses for the 4-to-6 swap though :(
