It’s probably been brought up a few times . What mileage do the fluids need to be changed . Per the manual says 15k but reading on here most people change at 30k ?

If you regear they will say 15k. Tacoma now says 30k.
I just did mine at 20k and it was very black, with lots of extremely fine shavings on the magnetic plugs. Will keep doing at 20k at least for next change or two.

Some people never changed theirs... but I would not recommend that.

p.s. It took more than I thought... and I didn't spill much :)

I changed both my front and rear diffs at 800 miles and replaced with Redline oil.

I found the rear diff on my 2018 under filled.

I replaced at 48k and was still an amber color. Used Redline

the manual says inspect at 18K for the diffs - I just change mine at 20K intervals. Easy and cheap, so why not. I'm not sure about the transfer case, but I think the manual says to inspect or something at 40K - I just did mine at 50K. Used Redline MT-LV... again, this is easy and cheap, so why not.
