I was peeking under my truck this morning just to get familiar with things. I noticed some exposed wiring leading up to the actuator for the transfer case. I'm sure these are built this way, and I'm probably being over worried, but should I cover the colored wires up with some electrical tape or something? My main worry is debris getting in there.

    Thanks in advance!

You can wrap a little tape around them if you want.
But those wires will last far longer than the vent tube will.
99% of the problems with the actuator comes from the vent tube getting old and cracking/breaking.
When this happens, water gets inside the actuator.

Anyone know the part number for that plug?

Two of the wires on mine broke, right where they meet the plug.
