Looking to purchase a used TC for my 6-speed manual 2005 Taco down the road. Does anyone happen to know if both tranny shares the same TC or does each tranny use a different TC?

A TW member mentioned that the spline count on the output shaft may be different?

    Any knowledge is appreciated.

    Thank you y'all!

Need to get one from a manual or plan on disassembly to swap the input. The automatics and manuals use different spline counts and then the autos use a coupler sleeve to adapt to the male output of the auto trans.

I'll ask it here too as I'm hoping to get more info and knowledge needed for my future TC swap project.

Does any of you know how many other Toyota models share the same exact TC with the Gen 2 Taco? Tundra? 4Runner? Lexus??

Just in case I want to do a direct swap without any mods, disassembly and/or add additional parts to make it work.

So few used 6-speed TC out there that the more available options from other models for a direct swap, the better. As long as it works, I don't really care if the 6-speed manual TC comes from a Tundra, Lexus, etc. I know the 6-speed Gen 2 Taco is rare but it's probably even more rare to find a 6-speed Tundra, 4Runner, etc., that shares the same exact TC.

    Thanks!
