Need a little advice/reassurance. My 2017 has 30k on it and I replaced the transfer case fluid tonight with OEM fluid. I went to a large parking lot near my house to run through 4hi/4low. I did this only while going straight as to avoid binding. Everything sounded fine. Put it in 2wd before leaving the lot. Made a sharp left turn when I noticed a whop whop noise near the front passenger tire area so I pulled back into the lot. Ran though 4hi/low again. Made a few more hard left hand turns and the noise began to get more faint. Drove down the highway a few miles to a gravel pit. Drove around there a bit in 4hi/low while making turns and now no more noises. Is this possibly due to the new fluid not having settled or being warm enough? I noticed when I was loosening the fill bolt there was a bit a suction sound. I’m assuming it takes a bit for pressure to build in there. I’m a 4x4 noob so any advice is appreciated. I don’t use 4x4 much but when I have, I’ve had no issues. I only changed it at 30k due to towing. Fluid looked new coming out. Thanks!
