just seen it ... wasn't too surprised to all the recycled shots/effects they used. imo it was more of a love story this time around. i am a little disappointed that they didn't even have the little jaguar or what have you shockwave had. they had that faggy bird ... further more GOT DAMN product placement like a MOFO!!!!!
only thing I actually did like was the turmoil that was left upon Sam, kind of gave it a reality perspective in todays job world ... and his parents got a little funnier.

shockwave was never useless, he was just always stuck on cybertron running shit in megatrons absence, and bumble bee wasn't completely useless, he was kind of spikes protector, which carried over into the movie with sam. But he does fight a lot better in the movie.

They didn't take her out because she couldn't act, they took her out because she basically said that the Transformers series was nothing without her... which shows just how dumb she can be... seeing that these series are old as hell.

For the new girl... this was her first acting job if I recall correctly. She is a model. In reality though, if you are going to go watch this type of movie for the caliber of the actors... then there is something wrong with you. There is a movie for every type of person... which is why I think critics are just plain stupid, since they catalog almost everything as bad, based on general guidelines that you cant apply to every movie.

In any case, it's an entertaining movie which if you are going to see in the theaters, you should opt for the 3D version, since it's an actual visually important movie and was made for 3D.

First movie was the best, if only because the material was completely new to the audience. On the secon and third movies they basically had to top the first one, which was gonna be impossible since the Transformers are no longer a novelty in a "real life" sense... if that makes any sense. hahaha

I think the one thing that really got to me was the fact that in the first movie Starscream had an awesome/menacing sounding voice. In the second and third movie, he just had a really crappy/wimpy sounding voice.

Edit: I never saw the cartoon, so the movie is all I'm talking about. I wouldn't know what Starscream's voice would sound like. Plust the fact that I have a very crappy wireless connection and it would take a whole fucking hour to try and watch a clip on youtub e. hahhaha

starscream was always a scared little bitch that tried to take over from megatron when the importunity would allow.

I liked the action scenes, the love story was cheesy. It was a bit too long, but it was entertaining. The new girl was eh, I don't particularly like when movies switch out original characters, but since Megan Fox and the director butted heads, that's what happens...

I thought it was pretty good. The new girl is hot obviously, but still has nothing on Megan Fox. I didnt like how all they said in the movie was that Sam and her broke up. They should have atleast put Megan in at the beginning of the movie to show what happened. Im not fond of characters getting changed out either. But like it was said, shit happens when you argue with the director. Overall it was pretty badass. Probably would have benefited from a 2 part movie.

I'm very happy having not seen it.
The trailer was pretty upsetting... Apollo astronauts going to check out some secret stuff on the backside of the moon... I was thinking maybe an Aliens type sci-fi/horror film; Then it reveals transformers?! Bleh.

I did see the first one because I was into the cartoon and toys when I was a kid, but that was enough for me.
As far as the hot girl argument, there are plenty of movies with sexy chicks in them, so I'm not going to watch just for that.

Saw it in 3D for free last night.

Its OK. I enjoyed it for the Action Scenes and 3D.

The Acting is just horrible. Thanks Tyrese. . .The story line is kinda lame. Its long and I got kinda bored. . .

I enjoyed The Green Lantern a little more.

Transformers One is the Best still.

It was an ok movie. I didn't like the ending. Optimus, who kicked everyone's ass in #2 is getting whooped by an old prime, pleads for mercy before death like a bitch, only to be coincidentally saved by his arch nemesis. GHEY.

Best Movies of the summer so far are Super 8 and Bridesmaids, IMO.

It was entertaining for sure! The fight scenes were cool but the movie was too long and a little boring at times.
