I have a 2004 Tacoma 4 cyl quad cab. Its an automatic with 90,000 miles on it. I was wondering if I need to change the transmission fluid and or the differential fluid now?
I pull a boat with it and its pretty hard on the truck when going up hills.
Should I go to a Jiffy Lube type place or the local dealer?

When was the last time you had the transmission flushed and oil changed?

If you don't know...then I'd highly recommend having the transmission flushed & filled by a REPUTABLE garage or the dealer. I WOULD NOT take it to jiffy lube or other quick lube place.

Same for the differentials and transfer case. I believe they should be changed every 30K miles. If you can't remember doing it ever...then I'd get that done also. If you do some research, you can change the differential oil & transfer case yourself.
