So I’m growing slightly concerned I may have an emerging transmission issue. Truck is a 24 trd off-road automatic with a VIN that falls within the issued transmission TSB. No current error codes.

I’ve had 5,000 flawless miles. Went in for the 5k service. They do the standard tire rotation and visual inspections. They tell me I have an active recall for my blind spot monitoring that needs to be reprogrammed. Tell them to go for it.

Pretty much immediately after leaving the dealership, out of nowhere I’m sporadically getting rough up shifts when accelerating and the same when slowing down and down shifting.

Am I missing something here? Is it just a coincidence this is happening right after my service? Could it have something to do with this reprogram? Or is this symptoms of the transmission failing?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Perhaps as part of the reflash the transmission is in relearn mode? I know when I had firmware updated on my Outback's transmission control module it definitely shifted different for a while until it settled down.

Doesn’t sound like a coincidence to me. Then again it was hot as hell today.

That’s exactly what I was thinking. Keeping my fingers crossed.

That's why I am not getting the the reprogram done. Also it only applies to towing a trailer which I will never do.
