There's a couple temperature sensors in the AC60E/F transmissions.

I pinned my trans thermostat and added a setrab cooler. Truck will run about 60-70 degrees over ambient temps. Relying on the radiator for cooling is a joke. It’s more for warming up the fluid when it’s cold. Used a few derale hyper coolers that work well too. A plug in gauge like scan gauge is a must if you do your own trans servicing and towing.

    Welcome to the forum :hattip:

Purchase the largest cooler that will fit the space, I prefer the style with mounting flanges built into the cooler versus the style that mounts to the radiator with plastic zip ties.

You really don't need an installation kit if you are a bit handy. You will need to fabricate some brackets to hold the cooler securely and cut/bend some brake tubing.

Any good auto parts store (NAPA) or a hydraulic repair shop can provide the metal tubing & fittings required, it is best to have a short length of proper transmission cooler hose between the metal tubing and the cooler, this helps to eliminate fatigue cracks from vibration.

You want to plumb the auxiliary in series with the radiator cooler - do not bypass the radiator cooler.

There are 2 temp sensors for the transmission. They're both built into the solenoid pack.

I didn’t read the entire thread, but wouldn’t it be as stable and secure on the bed if you mounted it using longer bolts where the torx bolts go that are holding the bed? That would require less holes in the bed. They are also mounted to the frame… (I assume yours are as well)
