Just a little heads up for somebody that might not have all the information on this process…like me.

I finally got around to servicing my transmission yesterday. I had watched vids and read about it and thought I was prepared. Seemed like and easy maintenance procedure. Drain and fill went fine. However then came time to put it in temp check mode.
My ‘20 TRD OR doesn’t have a pin in position 13 on the OBD port. So I start researching more and find out starting in ‘20 there is another method to do this. Problem is that didn’t work for me. Several attempts over 2 days with no success. So I ended up getting a Scan Gauge 2 and programmed it so I could open the overflow at the correct temp. I wasn’t willing to guess at the temp to get the level right.
Moral of the story is maybe check to see if it will go into that mode before you start and if not have a scan tool ready to get you back on the road.
