Transmission Filter ?

Do the automatic 3rd gen Tacomas have a transmission filter that needs to be changed when fluid is changed? Just wondering what kind of pain it’s going to be when the time comes to change the transmission fluid.

 

There is a filter, standard in-pan style. Drop the pan, the gasket is reusable. Fluid yes, filter is debatable if needs replaced for anything but really high mileage.

I can tell you all i did was the 4 qt's drain and refill on my 4.7 gen1 tundra transmission every 15k miles for 292k miles and never had the slightest of transmission issues's That transmission still worked the same as the day it was new.
