Transmission fluid change

I'm sorry I missed that. First of all please read your owners manual. It said to change the Tranny fluid at 100,000 miles. Any dealer saying anything else is just wrong.

Secondly, if your over a bit, no big deal, just don't push your luck. Consider yourself informed and have it changed if you haven't done so already.

Im at 60,000 and Pennzoil ( the place I go to get my fluids changed) recommends me to change mine for $280 for WS. should i wait till 100,000 take to dealer to do it? Is that price good?

 

I do all my own stuff brakes, differential, transfercase, but this I think I will leave to the dealer.

I have 40k, plan on doing at 60k.

Can you purchase the Toyota atf ws fluid at any auto part stores? Im guessing thats what they use. They are changing atf Monday and thinking i could save a few bucks by providing the fluid. Too late to order from Amazon

The other thread might be a better place to ask your question as to where to buy toyota ws fluid, as many more members will be notified of a new post.

 

Because they want you to buy a new transmission or new car. If you read the fine print, that's what they say for "normal" driving conditions which 95% of drivers all drive under "severe" conditions. Stop and go, high speed freeway driving, prolonged idling, hard acceleration, etc..

 

Hmm wonder if he resolved that since 2010
