transmission fluid gone? HELP

    I swear. The 3rd Gen banner needs to change to show the oil drain versus trans drain.

    So- you put 6 qts of new oil in making a total of 12. Did you check the oil level on dipstick before driving 5 miles?

    Well done, this should help many new DIY folks out there. Even with this clear visual, there will still be those who struggle with the "which drain plug?" decision every time they get under the truck. I actually kinda like the idea of painting the oil drain plug head with some bright yellow paint to make it a no-brainer for those who need it.

    But as always, what the hell do I know?

    Or.... You could just make reference of the bell housing and understand that's where the transmission starts

    If you don't know what an engine looks like vs a transmission you shouldn't do the maintenance on your vehicle.
