Alright guys, its an 03 trd 4x4 5spd with right around 68,000 miles on it. I recently got the truck and have no knowledge of past maintenance. I was going to change the front are rear diff fluid this weekend and wanted to change the tranny fluid as well. I was wondering if changing the fluid could make the tranny slip, which would be a huge problem cause i'm tight on money right now:( and getting the tranny repaired is out of the question.

with that low of miles.....you'll be fine. switching to a synthetic would be a pretty idea as well.

Make sure to use the T-IV type tranny fluid if indeed your truck requires it.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Make sure you get a GL-4 fluid and not a GL-5. They have been reports of GL-5 causing synchro issues in the first gens.

It's ok to use it in the diff's. I use Amsoil or Rotella. You can get the Rotella just about anywhere.
