According to my manual and everywhere I've read online, it should take 1.7 quarts of fluid. I didn't drop my pan and put in about 1.5 quarts and it is still showing really low. I'm letting the truck get warm, running thru all the gears, and checking with the truck still running. Any ideas why it's showing so low?
    Thanks!

If it's an AUTO s/b 4 QTS. Dexron III if you can find it. If not use Dexron VI. Just bring to between the 2 marks on dipstick. The bottom marks are for COLD reading below 32*F or in your case use the top markings. Do Not over - fill as foam makes for sketchy shifting!

It's an automatic...what is s/b? I called a dealership here in town and they are telling me 1.7 qt...you think they are just telling me what the manual says? I just hate to overfill...not hearing good things if I do.
    Thanks for the reply!
