As stated, tell dealer you have a concern that your tranny is shifting hard due to insufficient fluid.

 

Good luck, I asked the dealership to check it since mine shifts like crap and they refused. They said unless there is a leak or visible signs they will not check it. Toyota corporate and another dealership confirmed they will not check it unless its on my dime

 

Don't take no for answer. Be polite but firm.

Trust me, I took it all the way to the top and explained in detail what was going on and they refused at every step. I called Corporate and told them it explicitly states that they check "all fluids" in my manual. They said it excludes trans fluid. I called another dealership even with no luck

 

TBH, it shifts like dog shit when filled properly so don't waste too much time on it.

Lemon the thing it they won't or can't fix it.
