When coming to a quick stop, like when a traffic light changes & you have to stop quickly, there is a feeling like I am being rear ended after the stop is complete. I am thinking the overdrive is kicking down but it is happening more often & I have never experienced this before. Any idea’s?

Have you tried to grease the slip yoke on the rear driveshaft? My wife’s 4runner (5th gen also) did this in the past, a few pumps of grease for the slip yoke cured it.
