Hello all. I feel like my truck idles a bit rougher than it should when at low idle, enough for the door panels to rattle. I think it’s running correctly, but I’m not sure about the mounts. I replaced the motor mounts with OEM units a few years ago, but I’m not sure the old ones were even bad when I removed them.

I checked the trans mount at that time, but it seemed fine to me. Could anyone post photos of how their trans mount looks for comparison? I’d like to see what a good one looks like.

How long has it been since you cleaned the throttle body?
You'd be surprised at how good an idle will improve after cleaning the throttle body.

I’ve manually cleaned the TB and IAC within the last 3 years. Also did the “fuel system cleaning” service at my local Toyota dealer.

Update: I just installed a new OEM mount and it seems to have fixed my issue. The idle feels much smoother and there’s less of a jolt when putting the truck in gear.

The old mount is compressed a few mm more than the new one, so it was worn despite not being torn.
