Transmission Output Seal Leak

Hello all!

New to the forum, but have already found lots of valuable info in the threads I've seen, so first want to thank everyone for their collective knowledge. You guys rock!

I've got a base model 2WD automatic 2014 taco that I believe has a minor transmission output seal leak. I called 2 dealers and got two different answers as to whether the seal is covered under the powertrain warranty, and since they'll charge me 70 bucks just to check it out I'd rather not risk it... Tried searching the forums and couldn't find a definitive answer (my apologies if it's out there somewhere and I just missed it).

Anyone know for sure if the seal is covered under the 5yr/ 60,000mi powertrain warranty?

 

Yes it is covered under the 5/60 powertrain warranty.
