    Hi Guys,

I feel like this was covered somewhere for the 3rd gen Taco, but my searchfu is weak and I couldn't find anything on it.

While trying to get up an incline while offroading, my Taco threw a message saying Engine Pressure Low. Which was then followed by A/T OVERHEAT. After which my engine shut off.

I cant say what the incline degree was, but it was jeep hill in holy Jim Falls trail in OC, CA.

I was barely gassing the truck in 4lo and let go of the gas before the engine shut off.

Should I take the truck in? Or is this common?

It isnCommon.... it's a safety thing you dont damage the engine and transmissio from being low fluids.
That's a steep are hill the demand many trucks have rolled over there.

Thanks for the info @JaCado. I just find it strange that the Taco did that this time and has never done that before. I'm not a heavy skinny pedal kind of person, so it was surprising.

These new computers are very touchy and don't like being outside of their comfort zone. I have experienced total loss of power in my 2wd and my buddy did a test by slowly backing up that really steep short hill at the bottom of holy jim, I believe it's at the start of jeep hill. His truck did the same as yours, oil pressure and transmission fluid overheat and stalled out.
