@jacobrippey, did you ever get that fixed?
I'm having a little whine as well.

To follow up on this, I finally did the sonnax zip kit and it appears my problem is fixed. No more overheating, no more codes. Took me several days going slow and dealing with rain and temps in the teens. Well worth the effort and saved me several thousand dollars. My transmission was not making any unusual noises though.

Started a post about my 95 2wd 2.4 trans slipping and now not shifting. Found this thread afterward (a classic case). This is clearly where the transmission authorities are so I'm hanging here. Getting the same professional feedback as Bluecord with recommendations to personally source a used trans for replacement because parts are difficult to obtain for A43D. Going to investigate a little but I don't have trans experience. Time is going to make me make a decision soon. Got a new strainer & gaskets on the way. Going to take a look from there, post some things that I find and ask for advice.
Any initial advice on what to look for would be great. Already seen some from this thread.
    Talk to you soon.
