I have a 2007 DCSB 4x4 TRD off road automatic with about 185k miles on it. When the truck is cold it runs perfect but after about 20 minutes of driving I keep getting a "shutter" feeling coming from the transmission when it's about to shift the last gear. What could it be? Anything would help. Thanks in advance.

If I were you, I'd start with the cheap and simple things and work up from there. Tacomas are notorious for driveline vibration so you could drive yourself bonkers trying to figure it out.

The automatic transmissions are not known for commonly having problems, so I'd start by doing a simple drain/refill on the transmission. After that, I'd grease all the U-Joints and check for one that is potentially failing. After that, I'd drain and refill rear and front diffs. For $100 and a couple hours of your time you'll eliminate those variables and have a good deal of maintenance completed.

Also, not sure if the 2007 got the redesigned air intake, but if you can wiggle the air intake where it penetrates the fender, get some high quality dense foam and pack it around the penetration to prevent vibration from that point. My 2006 would get a vibration under load in 5 gear and the problem was eliminated by adjusting the air intake.

I'm going to see if I can get around to changing all the fluids this weekend and see if that helps any. Thanks for the input.
