2006 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner double cab. 203,000 miles.

When you come to a stop fast the truck falls out of gear. Then when I let off the pedal just a little bit it slams back into gear.

I had this same problem two years ago. It was throwing a code for shift solonied D and another one but I can't remember. I took it to Greenville transmission which is suppose to be the best around. They put a new valve body in it but never replaced any of the solenoids that I'm aware of.

Now my truck it doing the same thing and throwing a code for shift solenoid D again.

I've read several forums about this problem and nobody seems to agree on the same thing of what the problem is. I don't want to replace a $200+ solenoid that's inside the valve body and that not fix it. A valve body shouldn't go bad in two years.

It is NOT the axle wrap thing And it's not suppose to do it like all the other forums talk about.

But any input would be greatly appreciated.

Mine has started doing this in the last month or so, did you ever find out what the issue was?
