Resurrecting an older thread of mine due to the problem reoccurring.

After a Flywheel/clutch replacement less than 3k miles ago my clutch is slipping (or at least thats what it seems like) in 4th gear when traveling up a 6-8% grade at about 50-55mph (2200-2500rpm.)

If I press to aggressively on the gas while near 2500rpm it will rapidly rev up without increasing speed. No other symptoms.

*Possibly related: the first time this issue occurred and was "fixed" a misfire in Cylinder 3 code was thrown shortly after and now when cold starting it will sometimes pop up before going away. This was "fixed" with a new coil and a couple plugs being replaced about 3k miles ago as well.

    Any ideas? Thanks.

Did you replace the rear main seal when you did the clutch?
    Any chance it’s leaking.
I always replace mine when I do a clutch job

I'm a little late to the party, but it sounds like the springs in the clutch plate were weak. Mine did what you are saying. At slow speed it didn't slip at all but when I got up in like 4th gear and romped on it, it would slip. Those springs are spinning faster at a higher speed and by centrifical force they can't hold like they can at slower speeds. At least that's what I was thinking when mine was doing that. When I replaced my clutch plate with the one from marlin crawler, it fixed it. I didn't buy the whole kit cause everything else was in good shape and I didn't have 300 bucks to spend. So I got just the fiber plate for around 65 bucks and took the chance. It worked. 60000 miles and 3yrs later, she's still going.

I wonder if you have a issue with 4th gear once things get good and Warm.

With things Cold it seems to work fine.

It also seems through the whole thread 4th gear was the issue.

Unless your just brutal on clutches some people are.
