Thanks for all the advice. It worked perfect! The new Neutral sensor switch is on, the truck runs, the wheels turned forward and reverse on the lift. dropped to the floor, put it in gear and the gas pedal will not accelerate the motor. It stays in idle.....What now ??

Transmissions are the most complex part of the vehicle. A good transmission specialist can diagnose and sometimes offer a fix for $, whereas stealership will usually quote you an entire new unit.

Check the brake pedal switch. There was a safety recall that included a flash to the ECU so that if the brake is depressed and the accelerator depressed at the same time it does what yours is doing remains in Idle.

Check to see if the brake lights are on or off when you try to accelerate.
