Transmission swap options?

My W-59 finally gave out. Good luck finding any W-59s where I'm located I've been looking since 2013. I was just wondering if anyone had any information on any other transmissions that I could use with my W-59 bell housing. My truck is a 1998 2.7. Saw a few pics online of a 1999 v6 transmission and it looks the same. The v6 trannies seem to be pretty common around here. I just wanted some info before I pulled the trigger

 

it is my understanding the trannys are fairly standard and swappable but you need to make sure its from a truck with the same wheel sizes or just swap out the speedo gears so it reads the correct mph.

this is what I have come to understand just from reading posts about people needing trannys so I cant say this is to be taken as fact
