Ok so I have an 03 2.7l pre runner. I love my taco very much the only issue I have with it is that is automatic. So I was wondering if its possible to swap trannys and make it manual. I know it's a lot of work but I don't wanna sell my truck for another one since I've already put a decent amount of money into it. Plus I've looked around before and was never able to find an extra cab pre runner that was stick. So I figured I would ask and see if its possible. I would much rather spend a couple grand on a tranny than 25gs on a new truck. Thanks guys!!

    Started automatic. Swapped to manual
Just did it. Ran into couple issues. Don't know if 03 the same. Took 1995.5 manual and installed into 1996 auto trans. Needed drive shafts from manual. Ecu and harness from manual. Had to customize transmission support. Both 4wd manual hubs probably made it easier. Dont regret any of it. So much better I cant stand it. Also brake pedal swap plus clutch reservoir and line.
