I'm not familiar with scalars or vectors in the context your using here.

The Torque Pro app has a PID set up parameter screen for each of the dials that are displayed. It uses the above enterable fields. You enter the above values to set upper and lower receivable signal boundries. You enter the parameters on the PID set up screen and attach that parameter bundle to a dial or indicator of your choice. When the info is sent from the reader to the tablet, the tablet captures the signals and displays the info. The dials have a green pulsing light in them. I take that to mean that the info is replenishing - seems once a second.
I think the signal is constant between the paired tablet and car sender unit. The Torque Pro has specific display routines that you attach to the above dial displays. Somehow the diagnostic scanner sends a bundle of information via bluetooth to the bluetooth app on tablet which then receives and displays the information via those dials.

So dude, I recently had a top of line Kenwood with maestro installed, and I was super excited about have Trans temp in the display. But I can't find any setting to give me any gauges I give a shit about. Towing in the Sierra fully loaded...fucking intake temp and pseudo tuner crap is all it will show in various configurations. At least the backup camera view is delayed. Huge disappointment.

But how did you get any tranny temp to show? i'd prefer not to get an ultragauge to do it. I want less shit bolted to the dash, not more.

I think you're asking if it can adjust the scale of each gauge? If so, no. It's fairly basic, backing up what the rep said about it being a distant second on their priority list.

Look again at the picture. The post at # 17 shows that it can be used for IOS and Android. I use the Android.
I don't know how it would work, the PIDS and like with an IOS system.
    Programming ?
Well Torque Pro has a specific, how do I say it - connection sensor table that you connect to a display dial. You input your parameters (# 18) into the connection sensor/Pid table. That enables or activates the PID to be displayable.
This is part of the Pid table. Notice half way down you see Trans fluid Pan and Post Conv items. You select the desired item line and another set of input fields appear. Enter the above parameters, connect that to a dial you want to see. Save that. This works for me
    t
When the truck is turned on, when the scanner and tablet are paired, when the Pid table has its parameters input and connected to a dial. When the car is turned on, You open the Realtime Information logo in the torque pro app and the display like in #14 should appear.

You need to play with this. The first time I ever used bluetooth was when I purchased this 2021 trd sport.
For me it was a learning progression of successes. First, I managed to pair the Tablet to the Car's blue for music. HOORAY !!! I was used to the CD's and almost cried when I found out they don't make them that way anymore!
Then ..now that I paired Car with TAB it was just a small jump to go to car sensor doggle and TAB.upload_2025-7-12_8-56-9.png

I went into the Maestro section on the Kenwood and found Trans temp. It was greyed out, so I used the PID reset. I also reset the Kenwood HU. When I went back in, the Trans temp was available. It doesn't display accurate data, but it's there. Did you get the Excelon as well? Likely different gauge availability between the Taco and a Sierra. I also agree about the crap gauges it does display, almost none of which are desired or useful.

In the custom OBDII PID page, can you access the "Equation" parameters. That is where your issue is.

A quick web search makes it look like you can't modify the equations, which is weird since they show them to you?? What is strange is the OBDII data content and format is largely standardized. Seems odd that it can't perform this basic function. Do the other gauges read correctly? That said, per Ultragauge info, both Trans pan and TC temps are proprietary and would require access to the underlying equation. Me thinks you might be screwed for those two parameters....which are kinda key to have....
