I have an 05 sport 4x4 automatic and the transmission has been ticking for a while and now I noticed a small leak on the pan and near the main seal. Anyone have a clue as to what is going on?

Rear leaf suspension. Home done tailgate re-inforcement.
Can't help you with the tick. That usually comes out of the engine.

The rear main seal has been a problem on the early second gens. It has only one lip and I believe that a new one with two or more lips have now been put in.
