Not a proper way to get a temp reading. You need and OBD Bluetooth reader and torque pro or fusion app. I use a kiwi 3 and fusion app. Enter custom pdi’s . Lube guard red is a good additive or I would do a complete flush with Maxlife. A pan drop isn’t enough.

Yeah I realize that now, if you've read my past comment's you will see that I was directed and found some videos that provide how to use just a simple jump wire or paper clip to get the correct ATF temp. reading directly off the truck's dash without having to buy expensive tools. Check it out, it's pretty simple.

Toyota's "sealed transmission" bullshit has caused alot of people alot of problems.
A dipstick with a simple way to check fluid level could have saved many people from having issues like this.

Vehicle manufactures figured out a way to continue to make money from the owners who purchased their new vehicles. You may think you're getting a deal when you first buy that new car with all the rebates, discounts, holidays, end of the year, these cars must go type sales...but you're not. Your new vehicle will need to be serviced and to avoid voiding the factory warranty you will need to take it to the dealer, only, to get it serviced. At most dealers your warranty does not cover for parts and believe me these certified factory parts cost double or triple from what you would pay at an auto parts discount store. And if you have a Tacoma like us with no dipstick, you either figure out how to correctly service it or...you guessed it, take it to the dealer.
