If you are beyond your "warranty" - can you still get TSB work done?

    P.S. Subscribed...

Subscribed... I don't mind the "slipping", I know when it's going to happen so I've gotten used to it. Be interested to see whether it improves the ride though.

not to many, love it the way it is
I'm sure that toyota hears this all the time.... I thought I was in Neutral when I hit the gas but the truck was in Drive. - WTH- happened. I think I stripped something in the tranny when the tranny finally engaged and took off like a rocket ship. Is this normal?

It would be GREAT if it was re: slipping tranny's.

Random thought: somewhere on here a person mentioned they keep their car in 4, not OD, around town to decrease the problem.

Anyone ever ask the dealer if they can replace the OD "program" with the 4th gear "program" for the first 2 or 3 gears? Kind of create a mini-flash reset?

tomorrow (the 6th) i will be dropping my 06 prerunner of at the dealership for the 3rd time in two months. 1st was a new tranny, 2nd was a new rear end, 3rd will be another new tranny. they seem to have no idea what is going on with it...but as long as they keep pumping new parts in the truck then i dont mind too bad.

I could be wrong, but I think this^^ TSB is unrelated to the common auto transmission problems that weve been having.

Let us know as soon as you hear anything concrete, I would love to sort out my transmission.
