I just got this done, along with the new radio. This thing drives great. I think there are plenty of complaints with the way Toyota, and for that matter most auto companies handle things, but this fix is great. I noticed the difference within 3 blocks of leaving the dealer. I say good job Toyota and thank you for finally delivering on the truck I thought I purchased.

For now its only for 09's. It only came out a couple weeks ago. I am sure that the more people complain, the more will get done. And I think that because it is computer based, meaning its specific to the ecu in 09's, its not applicable to other years. I could be wrong, but that's the info that I have gathered from here, so.....
My advice, ask your dealer and see where it goes.

Does it have the same TSB #? In any case, it would help greatly if we could get a PDF that lists the 2010 specifically.

    Thanks!

i'm guessing your dealer should be able to find it on their computer since it should be available to them now. but yeah if anyone could post the updated tsb # or a pdf that would be ideal

Had mine done today with my 15k mile oil change. No problems. Works great for the little bit of driving I did so far (only 10 miles). Absolutely noticed the difference right away. So much happier with the truck now. Now if I can only get the radio replaced. Been waiting nearly 4 months for the replacement.

I got mine done a while back and it seems fine. But I have a question about how our tranny's shift into second gear from a stop . Does everybody else's seem a little rougher than the rest of the gears? I'm asking here first because I was hoping that getting the tsb would smooth it out, but it still seems a little rough at times.

yeah, there seems to be a sweet spot in how fast you accelerate from a stop that cause it to be rough. So I assume this is normal then?

Yep. For my taco it seems that straight away acceleration causes a little jerk, but cornering is just fine.
