Yes check your vin for the trans. But the Spring/ride is all 2010s. If you have two leaves and a helper spring you get it. I went with Toyota first to ask why they still have this on trucks. They did not really say much. Anyway the parts were ordered. Truck goes in on Friday for trans and springs.

yeah i think i'm not going to bother loading up my truck and taking it to the dealer to show them the "sag"...i'm just gunna call toyota, complain and then when they ask what dealer i'll just take my truck to the other dealership by me...if i call toyota directly are they going to tell me that i have to prove the sag first?

Just had the transmission TSB done yesterday on my 2010 OF 4x4 Doublecab. Presented that TSB that was posted here on Tacoma World to my regular service manager (I previously had my 4x4 4 Runner serviced at this dealer) and he smiled and said; "We let's get this fixed ASAP." I definitely noticed the difference in the shifting (much improved). Can't tell you how much I appreciate you guys/gals on Tacoma World! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Took my '09 DC in to the dealership this morning for it's first oil change. Took a copy of the transmission tsb and handed it to the service advisor and asked him if he knew anything about it. He glanced at it and said he thought he did. I told him how it was shifting and if he could do the fix while I was there. He told me the transmission was still learning my driving habits. I figured after 3800 miles it should already know my "habits". He told me it takes 10,000-15,000 miles for it to learn. Does this sound realistic? Kinda got the feeling he was brushing me off.

Took my '09 4x4 Double in for the TSB, I was noticing alot of up and down shifting at low speeds. I emailed the Service Manager explaining the problem and attached the TSB. They test drove the truck, then had the ecu reflashed in about 2 hours. No hassle, no questions, worst thing about it was they gave me a bright red corrolla as a loaner. Trucks a lot smoother at low speeds and no unnecessary revving.

Got the TSB done yesterday with the rear spring tsb. Noticed the difference as soon as I drove the truck. It shifts much better and does not rev up around corners.

Do you have a copy of the transmission TSB? Does it apply to a '08 2wd?

Does anyone know if this applies to the '08 model? If so, have you had it done yet?

Just got off the phone with my toyota service manager. They are telling me there is know tranny/harsh ride tsb for my 09 dbl cab 4x4, even though I printed them out and left them on my front seat. He tells me it is not in his computer and that is all he can go by. I am so fired up right now. He told me he is going to have one of the service techs drive it and see if he can recreate the problem. Any suggestions on what to do next, any key words to use etc...

I had the TSB done on my 2010 and I am still not to happy. Seems the slippage feeling going into 3rd was not solved by this. All other shift points seem good but 2nd to 3rd is slippery feeling. Not a go on into the gear feeling but a racing engine clutch slippage feel. It still gets confused at times with low speeds about what gear it actually needs to be in up or down. I am beginning to wonder if it has any transmission fluid in it at all. Truck only has 4k miles on it right now. No more engine racing into 1st gear on slow turns that part was solved by the TSB. I honestly do not like this fly by wire system on this truck. The connection/communication between accelerator pedal/transmission/ecm is all out of whack on the new trucks IMO.

Damn give me back my '02 Taco anyday!!!

He is telling me that my vin # is not included in the tranny/harsh ride tsb. Does anyone know how I can confirm this. I want to be sure he is not just blowin' smoke. 09 dbl cab 4x4

It looks to be the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th characters of the Vin number of your truck. Then look at the TSB that is listed somewhere here and see If it's on there.

So I thought for sure the dealer Im about to purchase my 2010 DC/LB 4x4 Sport would have no problem doing the TSB. The one manager I spoke to said, I would have to have a few thousand miles for the rear to settle in before he can do it. Pisses me off that I can't get it done, because I buying the truck in Socal and bringing it back home to Norcal. Any suggestions?
