Sitting in dealership now... The tech's were like "I'm not sure how long it will take" I had them lookup the TSB and said well IF there is an update.... I'm gonna raise some hell if they try to screw me on this one. Guy I spoke to on the phone said yeh just bring it in and we'll knock it out.

Well different guy this morning - guy I spoke with wasn't in yet. Hopefully he'll get his butt out of bed and into work!

Good luck. I kept trying dealerships until I got one that didn't give me a hard time

Well, my truck's VIN isn't listed as one of the ones affected according to the TSB. However, I definitely notice it. It consistently has transmission lag after turning several of the corners I take to and from work. It's next oil change is <1000 miles out, so I'm going to mention it then and see what they say. I'll report back on what happens.

While the lag is annoying, I can deal with it. However, I know that spike in RPMs isn't helping the MPG at all...

Hey all, just wanted to let you know I got it done - my receipt says updated and recalibrated transmission and has the TSB details posted here.

I can also confirm that the ride is noticeable - took a 12 mile trip back to work on back roads behind a slow moving utility truck - at times when I had to slow down to about 20 in a 55 and then accelerate again I noticed a definite change once I had to re-accelerate. It was in gear and didn't have to search.

It drives like a much better truck now and I'm glad I got it done. While it is definitely better it introduces more engine braking (its at a higher gear for longer) but I'll take that over the lag in transmission.

At the dealership the guy that first checked me in said they were going to check the transmission anyway even though I told him to just do the TSB.

I didn't really mind because I could work on my computer inside the lobby. I think I was there for about an hour maybe a little longer and my receipt also states that they did check the transmission - but it was free and I didn't have to be anywhere right away so hey free transmission check up?

Oh and one more thing - the guy when he was giving me my receipt - they couldn't find anything wrong with the transmission but there was a software update. Not once did he say anything about the TSB (are they even allowed to) but they kept referring to it as just a software update. When I mentioned TSB the guy looked at me like "How does he know what".

I just wanted to thank the OP for posting this and I am glad its fixed. Now just to get the 3 pack leafs upto the 4 pack TSB done...

Just got home from getting mine done.. I'm finally happy with my truck.. It drives like it should and it hit the usual spots where the tranny would act up and it was flawless!! Im couldn't be happier. Still kinda shocked that my truck is fixed. I thought Id have to deal with this crappy tranny for the life of my truck.. Now its a smooth shifting machine.. Highly recommend getting it done..

It would help if you can scan it in. Can you email it to me? My dealer is playing the we can't find it game.....and I don't want to have to go to multiple dealers.

    PM sent with email

Instead of email, can you just scan and then post it in this thread so that everyone can get a hold of it? That would be better. Thanks.

We weren't calling BS on you. It was directed towards the dealers and corporate.
