I called the place later that same day and they told me since I already had left and didn't report the problem sooner, they wouldn't do anything about it because they didn't know if I did something after I left

How the FUCK a "trained professional" at an oil chance place cant figure out the difference between a transmission pan and oil pan is BEYOND ME.

MAYBE MAYBE if it was on a fwd transverse motor that has engine and trans stacked on top of one another.... but on a truck like ours... THERS NOT MOTOR OVER THE TRANS....

UGH. im sorry dude. Id go back and read the people a rite act and demand your money back.

I wouldn't take no for an answer if it were me...their mistake can potentially end up costing you thousands...

Did you pay with a credit card?

I would be disputing the transaction. At the very least make sure they don't get paid for their incompetent work...

And I sure as heck would be airing their name all over this forum to warn locals in your area. Especially when they have refused to do anything to even attempt to make amends. They can't do anything as long as you stick to facts and it is the truth...

On top of that they quite obviously never even looked at the dip stick. Just tossed the amount of oil it calls for in and called it good.

Leave the maintenance of your $30,000 machine up to some kid that has zero qualification or care? No thank you.

Once again... if you do your own work, this shit doesn't happen. There is so much info on this site that if you can't figure out how to do fluid changes on your truck from the pictures/videos on this very site... just sell your truck and go get a bus pass.

No offense intended... but damn, man. NOBODY is going to take care of your vehicle better than you.

2015 Tacoma 4x4 Double Cab Shortbed
Have you guys heard of this... My 2015 4x4 Dbl Cab 4L SR5 Taco won't shift into high gear when driving DOWNHILL. It shifts fine on level streets and going uphill, but going down hill it won't shift into high gear until the RPMs are up over 3,000. Sometimes I'm doing 60+ MPH getting on the freeway going downhill and it still won't shift into high gear. Any ideas?? I've still got warrantee and asked the dealership about it several times. They have checked the tranny fluid and topped it off. They said it came low from the factory. The dealership said they escalated this to Toyota Factory Service. They say it is working as designed. I don't buy it. This truck has some kind of instrument to measure the angle of tilt to deploy the side airbags in case of a rollover. The owners manual and the salesman said to be sure to turn that off when off-roading to avoid pre-mature deployment (no one wants that) of air bags when running on highly sloped terrain. Could this be malfunctioning and telling the transmission the decline slope is too large? Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
