I took my Tacoma into the shop about 2 weeks ago and had my cooler lines (the rubbers ones from the side of the radiator to the tranny) replaced, and then 2 weeks later the line split again in the same spot where the rubber piece goes over the line into the radiator. But this time I was on the highway and now my tranny is done for and they are making me guy a new one. Any ideas?

    Wow, that is not good.

I’d be making sure there isn’t an obstruction causing a restriction in fluid flow.
Which could possibly cause high pressure on the line.

You either have bad luck, or you have a separate problem.
I guess it depends on the lines and where you got them?
But for 2 to fail in the same place is “odd”.

The line that broke the first time was the original hose and when it broke the second time on Thursday it was a hose that the Toyota’s dealership put it.

I don't know if I'd eat the cost of a new tranny without challenging the repair jobs.
