Transmission

Sorry about that guys my phone is stupid sometimes but has anybody else had transmission problems are there Tacoma My four-cylinder truck has had two transmissions go bad my 6cl truck is starting to give me problems now

 

What type of tranny - manual or automatic? What are your driving habits?

Mine's been great since getting reprogrammed. No issues.

 

Both are automatic

 

What symptoms did it have when it went out?

 

Even the loaner Toyota tocoma is acting really bizarre Similar to the way mine was acting when it before it died

 

OK, then, what are your driving habits? Lead foot? Rabbit starts and stops? Are you towing a trailer, and if so how heavy? Do you haul walruses from the zoo to various social engagements around town?

It would jerk coming out of second gear it would bag down and downshift Jerking the whole truck forward as if you were in a manual transmission downshifting to slow it down

 

was the dealership clueless?

 

Never heard of that happening. Is it possibly in the manual shifter mode (to the left) and not wanting to shift up because it thinks you don't want it to?

 

sounds like it's running in open loop
