    TRD Lift
I purchased my 2023 Tacoma with the TRD lift kit. I'm not very knowledgeable with this stuff, but I'm looking to increase the lift on this kit about 1 inch on the front and rear. Just looking for some insight / opinions from more knowledgeable people on this.

I'd like to have 3" on the front, and 2" on the back.

I know this kit re-uses the stock coilovers. Would replacing the stock coilovers with larger ones increase the height from 2" to 3"?

I know Wescott Designs has a preload collar kit for the Bilstein 5100 series, which is what the TRD kit uses. But I'm concerned about the ride quality going to shit with that setup.

I'll more than likely be replacing the UCA's if I do all of this as well.

I'd like to replace the U-bolts on the rear with a add a leaf kit to bring it up to 1.5-2" in the rear.

I appreciate any advice I can get on this.

Never heard of "TRD lift kit".

People generally advise max 2" front.

    Spacers are bad.

If you get 6112 for the front, they are height adjustable.

2 - 2.5" up front is the sweet spot that allows the most mechanical empathy with the CVs and other components.

Basically any more lift and it will drive like trash. You'd be better off buying a stock setup and putting a leveling kit 3 and 2 on it.

The TRD lift is the sweet spot for tacoma and anymore causes issues with ball joints, wheel travel and overall driving quality.

If you put the westcott lift on the TRD Kit it would max the front out and you'd have zero down travel.

Honestly, just leave it. If you do anything just get bigger leaf springs in the rear if you want it to sit a little higher back there.

Thanks for the advice guys. Maybe I'll just increase the height through larger tires. I'm on 265/70/17's now.

That's all that will increase clearance at the axle lines.

You should find on OE wheels you can run 255 80 17, which is a full 33" dia.

33" 255/80/17 is the way to go

I'm on TRD pro wheels(+4 offset). I was already thinking pizza cutter 33's or 34's. I'll get a cmc and do any trimming necessary to fit the 34's if needed. Possibly regear down the line as well.

Hey, I'm looking at the same tire size. Do you have some pics of your truck with at least one from the side?

This is the only pic I have. Saying goodbye to my awesome 5 year old 265/75/16 Duratracs, and moving up to my 255/80/17 Wildpeak AT3s.
