No. That’s what AAA is for. Just kidding.

Don't get me wrong, I love it. lol I just don't know if something I'm never going to notice is worth it. I feel like external mods are more worth the money.

The Stock Spare Wheel is steel and does not match the regular 4 so why bother now, plus the spare does not have the TP sensor in it.

I don't care what the spare is. If I get a flat, that's what I pay AAA for (they can tow it). In a worst case scenario, my tire size is still factory, so the spare would sill work.

Even though the site says the skid only fits 2018-2019, the bolt pattern didn't change so it should fit a 2016 as well correct?

So I thought about this too. Maybe getting 5. But I’m not a fan of the spare being in sight. So the look of wheel isn’t as important to me.

What people also do is have a full spare with same wheel and tire, so you can put that into your tire rotation if you wanted to.

For me. I have same tire, but just regular spare wheel since it’ll just be getting to the shop. You won’t see it half the time underneath so why spend the money. But it’s up to you!

That IS what AAA is for. haha

I'm not changing a tire on a side of the road, I'll let them deal with it.

    So what have folks bought?:spending:

    As for me:
    1. Cold Air Intake
    2. TRD oil cap
    3. TRD radiator cap
    4. 6 TRD oil filters (dumb, I know but not bad price at 40% off)
    5. TRD Pro MT shift knob

I kind of grimaced as I committed to ordering the CAI. The product description makes it sound like I need to be careful about burning my tires up from the HP gain o_O but if I ever bought one it was going to have to be a lot cheaper than msrp.

I wonder how many total TWers will (slightly sheepishly) have CAIs now...

When you’re out in the middle of the mountains with no service?

I've traveled all over the middle of nowhere out west here, I've almost never encountered no service in recent years. And like I mentioned, in a pinch, I run the factory tire size so I can still use the spare.

I don't know why I'm conflicted about the cold Air Intake purchase.. I own a TRD Pro. I'm all about things that look cool but function about the same

Does the MT shift knob just screw off and screw on? How much was it per chance?

Man I'm the king of buying useless shit for my truck but even I'm not paying $260 for some useless junk like their CAI. I just bought the shifter and skid plates and stopped there. Maybe I'll pick up some oil filters later today but that's it.

The system can't hold a 5th tire pressure sensor from what I recall so trying to rotate the spare in would be a pita

Thinking about getting these. What's everyone's take on these? Sort of can't beat the price $150 a wheel and no shipping charges.

Huh, even out driving through the middle of nowhere in the Mojave, or the deserts of AZ, NM, etc., I almost always have reception. Sometimes surprising good reception. haha
